Toddler on TLC polygamy show ‘Three Wives, One Husband’ died in Utah house fire

A polygamous family documented in the TLC show “Three Wives, One Husband” lost their 2-year-old son in a house fire Saturday.

Adonijah Foster died from smoke inhalation when a fire began in the bedroom where he was napping, the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. He was pronounced dead at the scene despite CPR, and two other family members were briefly hospitalized.

The young boy was the 17th child of Enoch Foster and the seventh of eight children from his mother, Lillian. His birth was shown in the first episode of “Three Wives, One Husband,” which premiered last month on TLC.

The show followed a number of polygamist fundamentalist Mormon families in Rockland Ranch, Utah. Enoch Foster has two wives: Lillian, Adonijah’s mother, and Catrina.

A GoFundMe set up Saturday for the family has raised more than $43,000 of its $50,000 goal as of Thursday evening.

“The family is devastated. His mother and sister were taken to the hospital after inhaling smoke while attempting to save him. Expenses will be high as a medic helicopter, ambulance, and emergency crew were brought in,” the fund-raising page reads.

“The Fosters have helped so many people, expecting nothing in return. This family can use all the support they can get and I know they will be forever grateful. Let’s rally together and help them overcome a growing financial burden during this tragic time.”
